De Coen Hagedoorn Bouwgroep
As director of the Hagedoorn Construction Group, Coen Hagedoorn was especially proud of his staff. He wanted to show his appreciation, so he had them immortalized by photographers and painters. Over the years, this grew into a tradition and provided the company with a wide-ranging portrait collection. When Coen Snr. retired, his sons Jan, Coen and daughter Hannah took over. The family business continued and with it the portrait tradition. In 2009, photographer Bert Teunissen was asked to photograph staff of the Hagedoorn Construction Group. The complete series of photographs was turned into a permanent exhibition in the company’s new showroom. Part of the series is shown in this publication, which has been designed to resemble a modern variation of old Dutch business books.
The book consists of 136 pages and is published by the Coen Hagedoorn Construction Group. Design by Erik Kessels and Sophie Gerrard at KesselsKramer. The book is printed in duotone by Calff & Meischke in Amsterdam and hand bound in Japanese style yarn by Geertsen of Nijmegen. From the entire edition of 1000 copies, only 200 are available for sale. They are boxed, contain a handmade gelatin-silver print and are numbered and signed by Bert Teunissen. They are available through bert@bertteunissen.com and they are priced at € 200 excl. shipping.
