The city of Almere is the youngest city in The Netherlands and the oldest part (Almere-Haven) was designed on the drawing board. The newest part (Almere-Poort, which was still in progress when I photographed it) is one of the pilots of the International New Town Institute (INTI) in which people who buy a property are allowed to build whatever they like. The results are as different as the number of people who come to live there.

The project is a study of these two different concepts.
